WHAT IS A BENGAL?
The Bengal cat is a unique breed of cat bred down to resemble the Asian Leopard Cat. It is a hybrid cross between a domestic short hair cat and the Asian Leopard Cat, thus is the domestic reproduction of the Leopard. After being bred several generations, it is truly considered a domestic cat with a striking exotic look. Bengal cats are very active, playful and highly intelligent.
They make great pets and are devoted to people. They are very loving, craving and displaying affection to their owners and family members. They love to play fetch, can be taught to do tricks and love water. They will jump right into your tub filled with water, and while kitties, be careful and remember to keep your toilet bowl seat cover down! LOL They love to jump into and explore empty boxes and grocery bags. They can always be into your business at times, and may follow you wherever you go. They love to sit on your lap and cuddle with you at night when you sleep. They use litter boxes and make excellent pets. Females range from 6 to 12 lbs. while males can mature anywhere from 10 up to 20 lbs. They are Amazing little leopards!

TYPES OF BENGALS
Brown Spotted/Rosetted Bengals exhibit brown to black spots or rosettes on a tan, gold, orange, gray, brown or reddish brown background. Eye colors range from green to gold, copper, brown and hazel.

Brown Marbled Bengals exhibit horizontally flowing pattern with sharp striking contrast displaying a swirled or sharp edged or lightning bolt-like appearance. Coat colors range from blackish and orange to brownish and orange and cream. Tri-colored marbles are more desirable. Each marbled Bengal has a unique and interesting pattern of its own. Eye color ranges from green to gold, copper, brown and hazel.

Black Melanistic Bengals resemble a small panther. Marbled or spotted/ rosetted patterns are more vivid on a kittens coat as opposed to an adult. Eye color is normally green.

Snow Bengals (Lynx, Mink & Sepia) exhibit dark spotted/rosetted or marbled pattern on an ivory, cream colored, or light tan background. Eye colors are cornflower blue, aqua, green and gold.

Silver Bengals come spotted/rosetted or marbled,. Ground color is a silver/white with black or silvery gray pattern with high contrast. Silvers with the least amount of tarnishing to the coat are more desirable. The base of the hair should be white in color. Eye color is green and sometimes gold.

What is a Savannah?
A Savannah is the name for a new breed of cat that's been created by breeding a Serval to a domestic cat. They look like Servals in body composition and coat pattern, but have the personality of a domestic cat. They are the newest breed of cat available as well as the largest hybrid. They average around 25 lbs. as an adult. Males are generally bigger in size. They are highly intelligent and get along great with children. They create strong bonds with their owners and use litter boxes. They have dog-like personalities, train very easily and come when you call them by their name. They require no special care and are truely amazing felines!
